    Very sad news

Henry Frampton Jones has passed away.

    He has found peace.

    A true gentleman.

    Regards Paul

That's sad, found out about him recently when looking at the Ashover light railway.
Seems he got the interest in trains as a boy when he saw the quarry railway in Purbeck. Then started buying railway locos and railing stock, but did not start the DDNR until he retired
A link to the history from a 2010 Peak Express is here (p38)

Sadly a tie up with the ALRS did not work out and was in last months Narrow Guage magazine.

He was also the owner of Andrew Barclay Ajax at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway until he sold it on to the Railway.
