Roosterrory's post which you quoted with this info was made on 1st June and Clan Line did run the first Torbay Express of 2018 on 3rd June

Apologies if this is information held elsewhere but will the King still be at the DSR when the Torbay visits on August 19th?

That's because it was cancelled ages ago. Clan Line has other work to do this Sunday. ;)

Glad it made it in the end, all I have to do now is hope running when down end of July & end of August. Shame there's no provisional rosters like the SDR web page.

For some reason the DSR doesn't see the need to share loco rosters with anyone. Given the loco that they now have on the line it does seem rather short sighted.

I’ve found they do tell you if you send them a message on Facebook (if you have Facebook that is - if not I’m sure they can do the same via email or phone).

The loco roster is all ready written for after October. We don't bother advertising it as it's one more thing to worry about updating when ever something goes wrong. However if people politely enquire through any of our social media channels, on the phone, in person or even on here, we'll be more than happy to supply the desired info.

    28th & 29th June
    Beer fest mid July
Regatta week in august and every fri-mon in September would be the ideal time to visit if blue steamers are your thing.

However please remember, as nice as 6023 is to have here, ultimately it is here to do a job first and foremost. Just like 7752, 7827 or 75014. It just happens to be that the 4th spare engine this year is one of swindons finest..........

Timetable for the beer festival weekend.

One steam during Friday and Sunday daytimes, plus evening steam until 2045 and diesel services from 1530 Friday. 35028 on the Torbay Express on the Sunday with services until 1845.
Saturday two steam sets out all day as per the usual peak timetable, plus diesel services from 1715 onward and a steam evening 1820 round trip.

I'm hoping I can shuffle some things about and get down to the railway for this now that 6023 is running.

Is 6023 still scheduled to be operating on 28/29 June? Those dates have been removed from the Facebook post on the DSR page, leaving just the mid-July dates as its first scheduled steaming. If so, that means it's sitting around idle for nearly a month, which seems a bit of a waste - unless it's having any work done at Churston prior to operating on the DSR?

I'm very much looking forward to a trip over the line on 'The English Riviera Express' on Sunday July 1st. Just wondering what the service loco will be? I'd love to have a ride behind the pannier!
