It is a genuinely horrible name. But then, it is also a genuinely horrible film by a genuinely horrible man.

It's really good to see this expansion of services. Perhaps hire a Pacer to provide a basic service during January, and the few 'white days' in the other months - could then claim a slot in the national timetable, maybe Middleton Press do this already.

Just got my tin helmet down from the shelf!

The months of January and early February are the only good occasions when necessary PW maintenance and other infrastructure work can be done without service disruption. It has always been the method used on the railway. Previous years sometimes required a slightly longer occupation of the track such as the relining and other work in Greenway Tunnel and the rebuilding of Queens Park station, Paignton

On Tuesday 4588 left the railway and was heading up to Tyseley for overhaul before moving onto its new home somewhere up north. Meanwhile today the DSR took delivery of British Railways Class 03 D2371 meaning there are now three shunters on the line.

Blimey, locos are fleeing Toddington like there's no tomorrow! Could the GWSR soon be the only railway without anything in BR black? :D

Were USATC locos black? I thought their livery was grey.

The secret's out! Perhaps a hasty conversion to Granges will be a better surprise now... ;)

I think the grey ones were those belonging to the US Army medical Corps, hence the USAMC Aesculapius which used to adorn 5820's cab sides.

UK Heritage Hub states it's been sold to the owner of Austerity "Lord Phil", which is presently based at Peak Rail.

I was in Torbay today so managed to see 7827 Lydham Manor on the DSR. Two clips, taken at Broadsands and Greenway.
