Reading through 'Industrial Locomotives of Mid and South Glamorgan' (as you do) I noticed reference to a scheme for a narrow gauge railway at the Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare, for which two locos - Ruston 393327 and Hudswell Clarke DM1314 were purchased. This scheme evidently never got off the ground but both are still in Aberdare, DM1314 on display at Dare Valley Country Park and 393327 off site at a private location nearby. Does anyone know more on the background behind this?
