    It was good that the water 'glitch' was soon sorted out. Looking at the Dalesman web site a couple of days ago I saw no reference to potential disappointments for travellers regarding motive power. ;) It was a long while ago when I saw that class of locomotive working hard. (East of Exeter)

    Making a superb sight and sound, 35018 'British India Line' works through Helwith Bridge with the northbound 'Dalesman' Steve Chipperfield driving and
    Frank Chippendale on the shovel

    Overcast weather conditions and rain starting to fall as SR MN Class 4-6-2 No. 35018 'British India Line' going along well after a late start from Carlisle. Davey Blair
    driving and Martyn Soames with the shovel. Listening to the previous vids 10A certainly have the engine purring nicely

    Let's face it. If Merchant 18 is going to run non stop between Hellifield and Carlisle in 110 minutes each way, as it did today, there seems little point in 10A using any of their other locos. :cool:
