OK probably some people do but to me its a waste of time and why should anyone have to turn up the volume?

I enjoy the sound of a steam loco as it approaches and the same as it fades away into the distance. That's one of the advantages of filming a steam locomotive you dont always have to see it to enjoy it.

We differ I tend to wind on to the action which is seeing and hearing the loco in sight then passing by but not getting a long way out of sight before closure.
Maybe youtube appreciates? long drawn out clips:Bored:

Some shots from today (2 at Ribblehead, 2 at Birkett Common) - the driver briefly opened the drain cocks at Birkett Common to clear sheep from the line, I didn't get a good shot of this action, but you can see the sheep in both images. As there were some videographers near me I suspect the footage will appear somewhere in due course.

Anyone know what is causing the delay to today's run? Diesel section was late and now seems to be stuck in Hellifield

Cracking stuff Simon. Very lucky with the sun, it seemed to have dropped off the train by the time it had passed! Those bushes hiding the first arch look like they will be trees before too long.

Problem with the lead diesel I believe, nowhere available to move the one from the back to the front???? so it was pushing at reduced speed to Hellifield.
