    It was built specifically for excursion use in the first instance, as were the teak bodied open thirds with 2 + 2 seating.

    There is one BR Mk 1 TSO still in that livery, but it's rather a long way away- the East Kootenay Railway at Fort Steele, British Columbia!

    It especially suits the Mk.3 sleeper at Pickering. The NYMR's railbus, Gloucester DMUs, 'other' Gresley buffet, and a Mk.1 SO also carried tourist stock livery during the 70s.
