No.9 crossing the Forth Bridge in sihouette this evening. The sun was doing it's best to keep away the clouds advancing from the south.

    Ditto.

    Can't control the wind though.

How many others were there with you? It looks like a master phot spot. When the wind is blowing in the right direction!

Glad you enjoyed it. There are plenty of duds in my collection, but they rarely get a public airing ;-) However, I do think digital capture has really helped to increase my success rate, when compared to film which I do still also shoot.

I've just seen it going down passed Bradbury. Me and my dad were stood on a bridge going over the line, he got a brilliant video. I took a really bad picture, which I'll upload just because!

The headboard was carried by Tornado as it coasted through Welwyn North. Using a 50mm lens and f/2 at 1/800th at ISO-640, I just managed to capture a usable image, 29 minutes before sunset, if there had been any sun!

Maybe it might be the latest time to get a shot with available light.

Well it certainly went north of the border with "Gresley" on Saturday, proof.

It's those Celts, "Gresley" will probably come back a 4-6-0. ;-)

I'd be suprised if there was only one Corination headboard, i'd expect at least a couple of copies out there, one found it's way to the SVR with Gresley IIRC.
