Class 119 DMBC W51073 which has been under restoration at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway since 2008 reached a milestone yesterday. The vehicle moved (and stopped) along a road in the yard and back under its own power. This is the first time the vehicle has been driven under its own power since 1993, 20 years! There is still much work to do before a launch into traffic is possible but still a great moment for the team.

There is a 'restoration diary' on the railways website at www.e-v-r.com/class119 with a video of the moment.

Could be. It was based down there for the airport runs for many years as part of set 594 before being withdrawn in 1993.
