    It has always been on the MPD roster as being a private charter. I cant think why some people had it down as footplate experiences, it will be a while before we do them up Cauldon.

    I think the confusion is because of the website it say's FPX 29th Jan 2011 http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk/main/footplate.php The Wine/dine up to Cauldon has been down since December 2010 I believe I was told :)

    It's shown as a footplate experience on the 2011 running dates published on the members section of the website.

    Today sees the first running of a timetabled public train to Cauldon Lowe along MCR's branch line.

    Steam trains will run on Sat 7th May, Sat 4th June, Sun 3rd July, Sat 6th August, Sat 3rd September and Sun 4th September.

    A DMU service will run on Sun 8th May, Sun 5th June, Sat 2nd July, Sun 7th August and Sun 2nd October.

    Tcikets are £5.00 for a single return journey on top of a day rover ticket.
