Been firing her last 2x days, may sound enthusiastic but with her little wheels it sounds like she going faster than she actually is.
Yesterday was certainly fun though hauling the 33 and 6x Mk1s around including the Kitchen car. There was no option other than make some noise!
If people want to experience this for themselves, every Wednesday she'll be hauling the same load until her own Air Pump arrives back from overhaul. Latest expected delivery was "soon"...

NOY - ZEE even at a standstill!

I've never heard safety valves that were buzzing before. Was that you Lil Bear on the footplate with the big grin?

Not this weekend, the owners were allowed out to play though so guessing they were enjoying the fruits of their labour.

TKh air pump still to arrive, so is still operating with the 33 acting as a translating vehicle.

With the Cream Tea service running tomorrow, that's 6x Mk1s (inc a RK) and a 33 on the drawbar. If anyone wants to come and experience 2944 tomorrow will certainly be entertaining. £11 for 4x round trips along the CVR, first train 1132 off Chedd.

Work today was moving the buffer stops so that there is room for another coach between the crossing and the end of the former down line. Again it was a running day so we had to have breaks every time the Tkh/33 came past.

Buffer Stop complete. Two weeks of work and the the line at platform 2 has now been extended and the buffer stop re-erected at the end. Getting the bolts through the holes in the rails, fishplates and plates took a bit of work, persuasion and burning when all else failed.

Video of the TKh, the quality of the video doesn't do the sound full justice though it still provides a good taster!

Out on Thursday this week as weedkilling cannot be done at slow speed while trains are running. Sprayed from Cheddleton to Froghall.
On the way back noticed how much the Himalayan balsam had encroached on the area we had cleared of trees 9 months ago. The line has also been taken over by young pheasants. For the rest of the day - see MCR thread.

To think we'll be back there in 6 weeks to recommence the tree clearance program! Think we better do some additional weedkilling this winter mind, see if we can reduce the foilage for 2015. No point opening the views to only let them be lost with weeds lol
