Wednesday I was in the office and update everything. Now just waiting to get the full 2016 leaflet signed off, and a few corrections on the Dining Leaflet before these go to printers. The new Guidebook went off on Friday to printers.

For those interested. S160 6046 is operating to Ipstones this weekend, 3x return trips off Froghall.

1st trip will be minus dining set, but this will be then added for the 2/3. Another noisy weekend up the Moorlands beckons!

An appeal that's been running internally for about 18 months now has been made public, in order to try and complete the vehicle's restoration.

If people can help raise the final £500, we would be most appreciated.

So long as the bogies to provide any hidden nasties, I'd like to see the vehicle restored for next March and running for the Volunteer Open Day in another Military Goods Train. Could even look into a charter to have 2x S160s haul the military goods if there's interest!

We've been featured in Steam Railway Mag this month, centred on an interview with our Ops Director and acting MD Greg Wilson.

Andrew Barclay no. 2226 "Katie" has arrived on the railway following a private purchase by one of the CVR's volunteers. It is planned to start an overhaul next year some point.

After loads of visits with my daughter to Brookside Garden Centre, I've developed a bit of an affection for 2226. Any idea when she's likely to be in steam? Allowing for the sort of unexpected delays and whatnot that affect loco overhauls. Is there a fund I can donate to?

One of the hopes is to have a pair of S160s operating.
