    Chasewater Railways september gala on the 10th and 11th 2011. its time for the annual september gala again and this year promises to be another good gala with brake van bay to bay train rides, passenger services and coal trains with plenty of shunting too, with the possibility of more locos being added.

    No 2780 0-4-0 "Asbestos" - Last gala for asbestos before her ten year withdrawal / over-hull

    0-4-0 NCB Hunslet shunter No6678
    0-4-0 baguley "Bass No5" brewery loco
    0-4-0 baguley "Marston Thompson & Evershed" brewery loco
    With trains also running on the narrow gauge railway at the back of the heritage center.

    Adult day gala rover ticket £5.95
    Child day gala rover ticket £3.95
    Heritage passes not accepted for this event
    Non working members £1 per member
    tickets valid all day with unlimited train travel on date of purchase

    CPC has been sold and has moved away. Be nice to see it back in an authentic livery and condition.

    I'm very tempted to go this gala. Apedale isn't too far away, so might spend some time at both.

    yes the nbl is still out of action with a couple gear box issues but still may be in the galla doing light work, hasn't been confirmed yet tho

    Hopefully the NBL will be out to play in some form as I am overdue a trip to Chasewater and need to encourage myself to make some progress on my own (27656).

    Dont worry if the owner is driving the weekend not a spec of dust will touch the paint work, well that is untill its done a couple trips than it will cover its self in muck :)
