Today will teach me to properly scout a location before turning up only ten minutes before the tour is due.....

A shame you didn't have a wider lens, my Qlympus 9-18 zoom fully wide would have been ideal. Still a very good photo though.

Just passed the Cathedrals as it was returning to York as a result of a major signalling problem at Doncaster. Good thing 47760 and 47746 were TnT...

I do have a wider lens, a 12-24 Tokina, but in trying to search for a more suitable vantage point the tour snuck up on me and left me with no time to switch sadly. Will await the next tour on the ECML up this way to give the cliffs the justice they deserve!

Well, I got bowled at Durham station by a 225 set - but caught up at Ferryhill. 15 down departing from there, but I see that she was early at York. Does that indicate a spirited run, or was there a lot of slack in the schedule? Hope to upload a photo later :)

Just passed Doncaster 17:45, about 2 hours late. 60163 passed about 20 minutes ago so should be passed by the CathEx around Retford.

I'm on the Tornado run. Is SNG now *behind* us?

Since SNG came off the train at York, I would imaging he's a long way behind you. :)

Just been passed by the cath ex while we were stopped outside Peterborough. We've set off just behind. So it's A1 vs Class 47 to KX. Who's your money on?

60007 during the water & pathing stop at Ferryhill. Lots of 'normals' watching the proceedings where I was too, which was nice :)

Excellent James, already looking forward to the return of SNG, hopefully we will see more of this one on the mainline in the future.
