Here is an update from the SD Facebook page:
"We can confirm that tomorrow's anniversary trip from Waterloo to Weymouth will depart from Waterloo at 9.55am, arriving back at Waterloo at 9.54pm.
Due to recent weather conditions and flooding the itinerary from Yeovil may be altered, but passengers will be notified on board."

Well I'll be heading to Salisbury to see her tomorrow, once I know the score there I'll work out where else I'm seeing her to! Fingers crossed for a good day for the girl.

A friend, who is normally well informed about such things, and is on board tomorrow, has just sent me this:
"I've just heard from my EWS contact that we will go to Yeovil Jc and back via Soton as the line through Yetminster is not expected to open until Weds. There will probably be stops at Sherborne in both directions for those that don't want to sample the delights of Yeovil Jc! Times assumed to the same, but I suppose it could come back earlier."

Be off to join the train shortly.

Really great that is is running, even if I do have to miss out on fish and chips at Weymouth! LOL!

Are there any Bavarian Serving Wenches at Yeovil Junction?

    Or Owls?

I am prepared to do guided tours of Sherbornes finest buildings.....The Digby Tap. The Half Moon, the Plume of Feathers, the George. My flat will be open for a small fee...

Seriously, I hope things go well, still plenty of miles on a top class engine and guys, you dont have to suffer the dreaded "box" as you steam lads call it!!!! Result!!

    Have a great day....

Nick. It's called a diesel. Please don't refer to it as a box.

    Wink wink. <BJ>

FGW still says line closed all day Y pen mill to Weymth but SD just tweeted ''we understand a track inspection from Yeovil to Weymouth at 10am (results sometime after) so aiming for Weymouth! So it seems watch SD twitter feed for latest i guess.

I live twixt yeovil junction and Dorchester and all i can say is if anyone is aiming to drive to Yeovil Junctn to view train then along the roads a37 a352 a356 there are enormous traffic problems due a35 and a37 closed in both directions nearby here and some roads in and around Dorchester too which is causing chaos down from Yeovil so maybe expect a traffic jam for 50 minutes be warned...

If she does get to Weymouth then cool!

yes it seems now the train is coming as the line here has just re-opened but just to remind you in case anyone is tad confused (i know i was lol) that clan line does not bring the train into weymouth.
she is detached at Y Junctn to be turned and serviced and will come down later this afternoon LE to take the train out of weymouth back to waterloo at 1738.
