More to the point - when was the last time that there were two steam engines at Victoria at the same time!

34067 Southall to Carnforth reported caped
46115 Carnforth to York reported caped
    S & C steam ban widely reported - so -

No steam from York, or up to Stirling tomorrow - and presumably not from Stirling to Oxenholme on Tuesday Tractor fans - get booking now!

Its a damned shame - but again - completely justifiable, and what exclusion clauses are meant to provide for.

The Princess well over shot the platform at Kensington Olympia to allow Black 5 to be uncoupled from the back on platform.Stood there for well over 5 minutes on it's own while the rest of the train went on it's way.No support coach attached.

Much to the enjoyment of rail engineers re-vamping the platforms, before the engine returning to depot.

Over shooting is allowed because no signal at the end of platform but further down the track in the distance.

6201 didn't "overshoot" at Kenny O. It stopped where it did to top up with water from a tanker.

Extremely unfortunate regarding the disruption that the weather has caused to this tour. Lets hope for some rain (seems weird saying that). I have a short video of 45305 purring through Dunton Green this morning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UORPSLbEnM

Tomorrow's CathEx will be diesel-hauled throughout, by the 2x Cl.37, referred to, previously. What little rain that has fallen in northern England is insufficient to have made any difference and it would be irresponsible to do otherwise, especially over the S&C.

Some rain has fallen in Scotland and more is forecast, so Sunday and onwards are being reviewed on a daily basis. Assuming that all is well, 46115 will haul the Cadder - Oxenholme leg, on Tuesday.

So is 45231 still coming up to Scotland, or will 61994 struggle its own way up to Fort Willam?
