Whilst having done most of the Southern railways (draw line from Birmingham to Sheringham) will visit Telford tomorrow.
Did Llangollen today, first visit since 1995. Lovely.

I'd like to get round the welsh narrow gauge lines. So much charm & character:

    Ffestiniog
    Welsh Highland
    Bala Lake
    Corris

Also wouldn't mind getting to the lavender line to see their thumper & the class 309 that's now based there.

Visited Telford yesterday. Was given a guided tour by their PW (volunteer) manager.
A railway with great potential considering its proximity to Ironbridge etc.
I wish them the best of luck.

Oh, using the South Western service from Weymouth to Corfe tomorrow with a large group of revellers. Lock up your Grandmothers!

The thread title invites people to muse over things they would like to do before they die! Maybe it needs changing to fit your goalposts?

The "new" Welsh Highland, I'd like to go back to the GCR for the first time since 1991, GWSR has been on the list for years (a friend live in Bishops Cleeve, I go there several times a year and I've still never done it).

However, the absolute priority for me is the MSLR I think.

Having travelled all over mainland UK the only one now missing is the Strathspey Railway. I really must go to NI to do some of the mainline steam tours there. The RPSI do really well with limited resources

    not in the UK :)

  18. Which is the very reason why a bucket list is called a bucket list...

And why this thread is a which UK preserved railway that you haven't been to before would you like to visit next year list, not a bucket list.

I don't see the distinction. It's a list of lines you'd like to visit before you die, which may be next year.
