Fully revised and expanded for 2019 – and featuring 34 new entries and over 140 new photographs – this is the only complete and fully illustrated guide to Britain’s preserved pre-Grouping, Big Four, BR, War Department and independent locomotives.

With 571 locomotives listed, including engines from the Ffestiniog, Snowdon Mountain and Talyllyn railways (plus many more) for the first time in this new edition, this is your one-stop, fully illustrated reference guide to enhance your hobby.

As with the sold-out 2018 edition, it is packed with useful, up-to-date information and history, telling you where each locomotive is and its current status.

This is the only publication that individually illustrates, as well as lists, each survivor so grab your copy today.

Yours for the great value price of £7.99, Britain’s Preserved Locomotives: The Complete Guide 2019 Edition is available in all good newsagents and online via www.greatmagazines.co.uk/steam-railway-specials

Yes I am an active volunteer
Looks very nice but a long way short of the 1,434 'preserved' steam locos that I have listed. I guess they have not included the unrestored ones.

I don't know, the Red Sea 8Fs look quite unrestored to me.
