This AGM could be quite an exciting afternoon with all that has been happening this last 12 months. I am gutted that I will be missing it again due to clash of meetings on the day.
There seems to have been bits of news appearing in different places recently so the AGM will bring everyone up-to-date, I hope.
I am suprised that there has not been a mention on the website about David Buck's sad demise, we will be looking for another Patron, again.
If anyone doesn't know, the AGM is 2.00pm on Saturday 12th at CTL Seal, Sheffield with stall, eats and drinks and the 'Hengist' to inspect in all his glory.
ALL are welcome, members only can vote. (Join as you come in!!!!)
Ian tells us there will be something special on show, any guesses?

For those who could not attend the AGM, and indeed all those interested in progress with HENGIST, the next chance for all to view the locomotive, chat with the team, and hopefully become a member on the day if you are not one already, will be the 12th of April 2025. This will be the next Open Day at the works, CTL Seals' premises in Ecclesfield. More details will be provided nearer the time, but it suffices to say there will be lots to see besides HENGIST on the day.

This photograph was taken of the trial assembly of the front bogie, which was on display at the AGM. The springs are lower than in the final assembly as we do not yet have the correct cotters to set the spring height on the vertical spring links. Next time, come and see for yourselves...

IMG_8695.jpeg Funding appeal - sponsor the motion components and bring the loco closer to completion.

Lots to choose from, for all budgets, I’ll be treating myself for my 70th next spring.

An amazing window into the sheer cost of doing this in 2024!

I am very tempted to have a reasonably-priced personalisation done not in my own name, but that of a now-departed dear friend who was a supporter of this project.

What a splendid gesture. Also possibly an angle worthy of further development by such organisations?
