Best vantage point for the cotton mill express?

    The cotton mill express is running on the 30th as I guess most off you will know.

    All I was wondering is were are the best place to get some nice picture of it on the mainline? I live in Sheffield. I was going to travel to Wakefield to see it but figured that there maybe some better place to spot it coming past along the line near there.

    if you can get to copy pit, between burnley and todmorden, on the A646, from burnley past walk mill, the road crosses the line with sharp right then left and there's a large layby usually full an hour before the train is due to pass. thats a good spot but a long way from sheffield, and not near wakefield. the nearest the train goes to wakefield is brighouse/ huddersfield.

    Yes I am an active volunteer
    I'm either going to go on the hill slopes that look down onto Lydgate viaduct or Copy Pit for 46115 run on the CME.
