    Also as a Stoke Golding Resident any chance you are interested in volunteering at a heritage railway close to home...? ;)

    I did drop in at Shackerstone back in 2010 when I retired, looking to volunteer in the loco, but it was like the Marie Celeste of sheds - apparently the loco(s) were on hire and came with their own support, so I joined the Churnet …. on the pway, for the fresh air and views.
    These days I’m too ancient to lug sleepers around and spend my time volunteering with CRT on the local canals.
