    Speculations here, two theories :

There appears to be no seperate move for the Deltic to Scotland. Theory one is we might we presume that the Deltic is on the rear of the tour for the journey up?
If so, the Millerhill path suggests that Tornado and Support coach are detached in Platform 8 and run E+POB to Millerhill. The Craigentinny path would then suggest a DB Diesel (Class 67?) to take up position on the rear as insurance to the Deltic on the front.

Theory two is as theory one for Millerhill move. The change here is perhaps the Deltic is working in some unadvertised paths up to Scotland, and then is what forms the move from Craigentinny. While the latter shows routing via the sub, it's quite often that the routing is ignored on other TOC ECS moves and the direct path is taken and so can be copied this time. In similar circumstances, shunts out to Abbeyhill or other Ad Hoc moves often have no paths entered onto Trust.

It does suggest overall that the stock will remain in Platform 8 in Edinburgh. The newly extended Platform 5 and 6 have, according to the WON, come into service last week and indeed I did see the 1430 on Thursday depart from the platform. Certain planned docking situations can be switched around on a quiet day like Sunday which would allow the tour to remain in station for what is quite a brief layover in comparison to tours that have previously used Edinburgh as a destination.

Edit : Seeing the updated previous message, the Leeds to Millerhill path seems entirely suitable. Should add then that again, moves between Millerhill and Craigentinny while often shown in paths, can still be AD Hoc unadvertised.

Charter arrives in P20 at EDB and leaves from P8.

Don't you believe it, Edinburgh are notorious for changing charter departure platforms. We always inform our passengers that they must check the departure boards or with station staff.

Loco doesn't need to turn, Tornado is only on the Northbound leg and then will remain in Millerhill in preparation for 'The Aberdonian' on 14th March.

Deltic is running direct to Edinburgh as 0Z55, arriving in the South Loop Siding at 1425. Then runs out to Abbeyhill after tour arrives and back onto rear of train to take to Craigentinny.

Sean you should have had a bonus of the Deltic passing you in York station but as it's running 72 minutes late it looks like it'll chase you all the way to Edinburgh.

Hope you have an enjoyable troublefree trip:)

    It's uphill from Wakefield.
Fingers crossed for a good trouble free day.

Yes but, the way things were going I considered it would have been a big risk booking. I'd booked on the original one and then it was postponed after Tornado had the problem, yes, they gave a date of 03/ 03 but with no news about the Deltic, no positive news about Tornado until last Friday................it was too late.

Well some nice sounds, even from the back coach. Caught up Bradford - York stopper at Garforth, 69 max on the run in to York. Now taking water.
