I attended the Amersham & District Motorbus Society's 25th annual bus running day last Sunday. An excellent day was had with numerous former London buses, red and green, working local routes in glorious weather. My photos from the day can be seen here http://paulgildersleve.smugmug.com/...tober/32431106_zmhG4k#!i=2824372421&k=jPBFbs4

    Regards,

The darker green RT's on the 353 route bring back some distant memories.
As a kid I was "dragged" from Reading to Berkhamsted to visit various relatives, usually a stopover.
This involved a train from Reading to Slough, a smelly DMU, & then a bus from Slough to Berkhamstead. A green RT on the 353, a through route from Windsor to Berkhamsted. Usually involving a crew change at Amersham Bus Garage if I remember correctly. Quite a long drag in those days for a young kid!
