She'll be ready when she's ready, as the saying goes, but she'll be another long-lost NE area class, despite her green livery, to reappear. To see her and the G5 together would be good - and why not add the J21 (oops, NER Class C ) as well?

Congratulations to the 82045 gang. Great stuff.

More likely 2026 to suit the needs of the SVR. An agreement has been reached behind the scenes that will see 4150 return next year and 82045 for 2026 so when they both finish in 2035/6 there is a good overlap so as not to leave the railway short.

I was in the boiler shop on Thursday last week. The boiler and firebox assembly was certainly impressive.

Great to see those forged and machined coupling rods. Despite the naysayers, we still do have the industrial capacity to make things!

Other groups/organization's should note the identity of the two companies concerned. These companies still exist, but are becoming ever more scarce. Use them or loose them comes to mind!
