Adhesive weight is hardly a myth but your stats certainly but it in perspective here ! a no -way- near full 5 on a quiet weekend and a fullish 5 plus the tender ( which is 2/3rds of the way towards another coach) on a gala day sure is going to make a difference... credit to the crews for getting it done anyway...

If everything goes to plan 80002 will have an extension until August now. It would be hoped that 5820 "Big Jim" would be ready around that time too. Although the extension is not yet confirmed.

45305 as someone has mentioned is to live at the Railway over the Summer as it's mainline base. We hope to have a weekends use out of it at some point, although nothing is yet confirmed.

    1300 left yesterday.

The 38xx walked out of Keighley quite easily a couple of years back, City of Truro struggled and had to be banked by the Ivatt, but I think that was influenced by the driver who was taking real care of her.

A Black 5 using the Worth Valley as a main line base. That must be for the Fellsmen tours run by Statesman Rail by any chance?

Truro did well on the days I went to see it running, it took 5 up the line on its own.

Dont now if its the increased traffic over the points , or the combination of unfamiliar Locos or Drivers but Gala days are always good for a bit of a wheelspin at Keighley.
Most other times theres hardly a slip.
