Not sure where to start with this one, so I'll just repeat my previous post - for the love of god, stop posting uniformed speculation and wait until nearer the time like the rest of us.

If you're that keen to go to Scarborough behind steam, book a ticket and hope that whatever you want to ride behind is on the front. Or wait. Or don't book a ticket. There are plenty of choices, but I can't see how posting meaningless twaddle is going to help out in the meantime.

@Moylesy98 ever wondered why you get removed from Facebook groups , why people tend to view you badly

I can't think of anyone who posts such uninformed rubbish so consistently . If you have nothing useful to say please don't post

I read a very apt quote on a model engineering forum....."A wise man speaks when he feels he has something to say - a fool speaks when he feels he has to say something."

"The society are still taking donation towards the cost of repairs carried out over the past few years."

That suggests that West Coast have done the work partly on credit rather than entirely on the basis of having exclusive use of the loco for a specified period. Or perhaps they have use of the loco until the balance of their bill has been paid.

Does this mean the 10A lads have sorted the lubrication system out? and 6201 is imminent another loaded test run anyone on nat pres?shes not run At least since 30th september 2016 when the tubes were discovered to be leaking. Well done to all contributors to the princess royal society at swanwick midland railway and the carnforth engineers good things come to ethusiasts who wait another 8P loco back again.

I would assume 6201 would be seen sooner rather than later on a mainline steam tour after getting her mainline ticket so no need for a further test run .

No problem but like I mentioned I’m only going off information posted that 6201 is mainline certified.

It is reported that 6201 has a fault, a crack has been found in the boiler backplate.

Hence the use of 60163 Tornado on last weekend's tour and (confirmed) appearance on Friday before it heads north to work Saturday's Aberdonian from Edinburgh.
