    Will 6100 still make the NYMR gala next month?

    Hope so?

    To answer my own question.

    Press release from NYMR today makes no mention of 6100 for the Autumn Gala, just 70013, with the "speculative line up" of 45428 and 44871 missing as well.

    It is odd that a person who clearly has a close involvement with the restoration of this engine should not know the difference.

    Think we're drifting off topic here - the above refers to 44422 not 6100

    Unfortunately the person who runs the website doesnt know one end of a steam engine to the other hence why there are so many inaccurate comments about 44422

    did i read right, that 6100 will not be going mainline now till next year? can any one conferm this and what has caused the delay? is it in any way down to the work that has been needed to have been done to get it fit to run on the main line or has yet more problems been found , and is the plan still to trust the operation of the engine to Southall ,

    I should think that as is the case with all engines that Jeremy Hosking either owns or has the care of she will make an appearance when everything is right and not before.

    Having spent about 4 hours reading all 60 pages of this thread, I'm astounded at the amount of bitching and mud slinging, but anyway;

    6100 is intended to be used for the Great Britain 3 in April, will she be ready and certified by then? Anyone in the know supply us with a status update?

    I was led to believe that it's paperwork that takes a while to process which is now the headache rather than anything mechanical ?.
