    Like the shot at Maidenhead

Here are 2 alternative views taken at Baulking after the water stop

The lack of sun meant a more open view could be used from the north side of the bridge. Can't decide which is best, the colour or B&W

Huge amount of smoke from 6024 - what was the coal like ?

6024 was heavily delayed in a queue of HSTs by a signalling failure between Uffington ans Swindon. Worked wrong line with a pilotman. Good running after Swindon.

Apparently Network rail have given them an extra 10 mins but as we all know that could change. Does
n't give them that booked the Wells option much time there.

Blue skies in the Bristol area at present. I wonder if a silhouette shot is on for this evening. <BJ>

What on earth is happening with signalling on this line. Recent Saturday, massive delays in Reading area with trains taking long route from Swindon, London bound. Trains standing outside Reading for HOURS and numerous cancellations. There's never any explanations anywhere....just signalling / lineside equipment problems !!! And guess who gets blamed on the radio ....FGW. Bit unfair on them.

Thank you for your kind words Truro, I'm glad you enjoyed them - it's not the most photogenic of locations, but I had an idea of the kind of shots I wanted, and with the light being so poor I wasn't sure I'd get anything (if it had been 60163 with that damn LED lamp - no chance!!!)

Anyway, your shot isn't bad at all - who said anything about a fence being in the way ( I took a little liberty) Lol!!!

Thanks for the reply to my post. I might try for that shot another time.

I'm sure the footplate crew on the way back will do their best to make up some time. Hopefully there will be some more pics and video's.
