There was a shiny, newly painted blue loco at Southall last night..... I think the number was 08850! 60019 was inside the small shed. Not easy to see from an HST but it looked blue and the front numberplate and shedplate appeared to be missing.

Could also put the BR 'Arrow of Indecision' on the tender with bright yellow cod's mouth!

Well, I saw 08850 yesterday and there was definitely a blue A4 in the adjacent shed. 100% certain of that.

    It was at Grosmont, though.................!

Ah, yes, good point Steve! Like I said, not easy to see from an HST, and I was more interested in looking to see what was in the shed than what was outside.

    It's Blue 100%
It's also been turned in the last 2weeks
It has shiny silver LNER letters on the tender looks very 1930's thru the window
The main shed is nicely arranged with 37706 on the stock
    and a 47 arranged alongside
I guess they painted one side turned it to do the other.

Also of note just arrived to a deserted paddington, plats 1 to 6 empty.

Now it's looks pretty certain for this. Now that Union of South Africa is being overhauled, maybe they could also put her back into her original garter blue too.

I think there is more chance of hell freezing over than persuading John Cameron to paint his property in blue!

How would it have been turned? There isn't a turntable at Southall is there, and if it had ventured out on the maimnline to go to be turned wouldn't someone have noticed a loco painted blue on one side and green on the other?

Thanks for that. Can't wait to see it in Garter Blue. She's doing a tour from Lewes in July so I may get a chance her at Haywards Heath.

I would laugh if 60009 came out in Garter Blue or BR Blue. That would upset the Brunswick Green followers.

There's a triangle between hanwell and west Ealing, a journey of no more than a couple of miles. Wcrc turn stuff there all the time, a late night move of around 30mins would probably go unnoticed by most, but I am speculating..
What I know is a few weeks back it was chimney first toward paddington but today it was the tender at the paddington end of the workshop, radiating LNER out of the windows the workshop itself isn't big and the locomotive is pressed up to the windows so I'm assuming there's more space on the otherside of the workshop

More confirmation from a poster on RMWeb. Same as ADB968008, they were passing Southall and saw stainless steel LNER letters and 44 at the front (not the rest of the number though)
