Will she be returning in a new livery, I remember this being mentioned somewhere?

5199 will be in Weathered Green.

Sadly repainting her in time for the gala is just one task too many. However she will hopefully gain a new livery in the new year.

5199 came back into the land of the living this weekend at the MCR gala

With the CVR volunteers working flat out last week there was just not enough time left to finish the job for some saturday running but on Sunday afternoon she took out her train conisiting of the three car DMU set

So far she has been reported to be ok

Well she made it to Cauldon Lowe OK - I was just packing up after a track inspection when I heard her whistle and managed to get a poor shot on my phone.

    http://www.5199.co.uk/page4/page4.php

Website now updated. Apologies for no reports since August but the webmaster has been busy. However hopefully over the next coupe of week all of the updates from her overhaul will be uploaded, so you can see the full extent of what was done from when she was stopped in July up to her return in November! Also there is to be a few new pages added overtime as well so keep a look out!

Also, a new feature for 5199's website (and 6880), is you can now share the articles on Facebook/Twitter/etc

Thank you lil Bear, inspiring stuff indeed! Well done to everyone who got her restoration done to the point where she could take that on! New "firsts" are always nice to see.

ALL updates from repairs to 5199 last year now uploaded, so feel free to have a look.

Just got pictures from her first full day's service following completion to upload, and also 1or2 updates from bits and pieces we have done this year.

We had the great pleasure of riding behind 5199 on the CVR on Saturday, from Froghall and up to Cauldon Low.

She put up a fantastic performance, working her socks off up the hill with 5 coaches and the class 33 in tow. What a lovely engine, thanks to all concerned.
