    The Crab at ELR isn't bad! Plus it's the same crew who painted it. And they are also painting 5551 as well!

    It had the same fittings back in 2014, so it’s not new but it looks like they were painted black so it didn’t stand out as much.

    6233 powering back up to her max line speed on the Up Fast at Loughborough Midland this afternoon, on the tail of a HST she had waited on the slow lines to pass. Running around 30 early. DSC_1822 (2).JPG

    The slot head screws used originally had a small head. Off the shelf fasteners have a larger head relative to the thread size. It may be these are 12mm screws (which are more readily available than bsw), which would still be small in relation to the hole size which on the original plates was around 5/8". The larger heads also foul the rim or letters in some locations.
