What did you think he was going to do? How do you nearly get confronted?
If you're on public land you can take pictures of anything you can see (even if you are pointing your camera into private property).
I highly doubt that anyone from leaky finders would care if you took pictures if anything being loaded/unloaded.

I'm autistic and dont do well with confrontation, so i ducked back in my car and went away.

Maybe he was going to suggest you could get a better photo from a different position? Just because he looked in your direction doesn't mean he wanted to confront you!
Maybe just say hello next time and see how things go from there?

There are other businesses located on that site and I can assure you it takes something a lot bigger than a medium size flatbed to move 100 tons of steam locomotive!

I understand where you are coming from, but take some confidence from what Ghost has said.

    Hi all.
I just wondered whether anyone can actually confirm whether it is actually true in regards to clan line leaving leaky finders.
I've been down past everyday since Tuesday to try see if anything moving but nothing.
I have tried getting in touch with leaky finders via private message and email but no reply. Also tried emailing the owning group and the haulage company likely to be used but nothing.
I know some people will say gain confidence etc or it be ready when its ready.
I also want to save on my petrol
    Hope this is ok
    YRM

I think the answer at present is that it will leave when it’s ready. Save your petrol to see it on the loaded test run.

You could always call at leaky finders, knock the door and just ask if they could give you an idea of a departure date/time. Speaking to someone directly can get great results and I think it could do wonders for your self confidence.

Its probably a question that they won't be able to answer. It involves a haulier getting down there after a long motorway journey including the M25, they will know the day its going out but the time will just be guesswork.

S.A. Smith low loader is waiting in the wings in a lay-by just meters away from leaky finders with a escort van parked behind

Perhaps Tornado's next overhaul should be at Leaky Finders?
