    Brighton Works' productivity was the cause of much grumbling over the years. In pre-grouping days, it was frequently truly appalling before the new C&W facility at Lancing finally got up and running, shortly before WWI.

    Which just proves that she's not a real steam loco at all, and is in fact being pushed by the support coach which has traction motors fitted to the bogies. ;)

    no the traction motors are under the tender and the support coach is really a class 67 with a mk 2 bodyshell; dropped on it.:D:D

    Are they transfer, ? Also whats the correct size of number for MN class engines with the later BR emblem , as 35018 seem to have a smaller size cab numerals

    I’ve been told they are now correct and the correct style, perhaps you can judge it from this. IMHO the ones on 18 are too small

    What a wonderful comparison. 35028 in ex works livery and 35007 on shed looking forlorn in worked stained condition. To me they both look superb.

    Fingers crossed that the Surrey Belmond Pullman runs on the 27th. <BJ>

    i wonder if 18 and 28 will ever either pass the same location at the same time, or ever be on shed somewhere together? for me the best chance has to be one day at Victoria if 18 comes back home again, and the tour happens to coincide with a british pulman run.
