    Seen later on in full gloom and rather more than full drizzle, making a bit of a meal of the climb past Albury, before a bout of slipping could be heard as the train rounded the corner at Brook. Last heard in the distance proceeding but pretty slowly, before a bout of whistling suggested the summit had been reached.

    I see from RTT that they lost time on the climb taking 7 minutes from leaving Shalford to passing Chilworth (3.5 minutes allowed), and nearly a further 15 minutes thence to Gomshall rather than the 5.5 minutes booked.
