34081 - 92 Squadron

Only if we can have something equally as impressive in return

 

I took a shot of 92 Squadron using a lens attachment to my phone and an app filter at point of taking the photo. Does it count as a photograph?

 

It counts in my book.

I love the odd athmospheric monochrome rendering but, in this case, I reckon in full colour .... boy would Simon's shot make for a superb publicity poster. It's a composition* highly reminiscent of the sort of angles beloved of 'Big Four' era and captures the 'nature of the beast' beautifully.

*composition: just one many reasons my own attempts invariably fail so miserably.

 

Lucky I took one then! Can be cropped about to match the top image.

 

Pity there's no awestruck 5 year old alongside the cab, but that's the one alright. If 34081 were my baby, I'd be thinking in terms of that image for the top-left corner of official correspondence or overprinting on envelopes.
