and the same issue reappeared. Canterbury is D1015's last main line run for a while. Unless you know better than the DTG bookings officer?

It's not having much luck is it. Hope all that freight work it did paid enough to cover the repairs.

When D1015 returned to the main line it was always a very reliable engine. Oh well. <BJ>

Is a leaking cylinder head a big deal, assuming they have a spare? Or did the coolant go somewhere it shouldn't have?

From an interesting locomotive, as 34025 'Whimple' was originally named 'Rough Tor' (I understand from a conversation I had on the 'Scottish Lowlander' on the matter that it is pronounced 'row' as in 'now'). I thought the whistle was one of the few brass objects still fitted to 34051, but I stand to be corrected.

Shouldn't be to long before 34051 is back off to York. Wouldn't mind getting a few photos of 34051 outside in Ropey yard before it leaves the railway.

Just after I return to York and in time for my birthday, if true. A rather nice present... It also seems the whistle was missing according to one of the articles.

I saw you on local TV news a few evenings ago Anthony Coulls:Jawdrop: Can I have your autograph now that you're a TV star? ;):)

The loco and the train looked really well (the short clip that they showed) well done to all concerned
