Thanks for proof reading. I was also trying to deal with a report, about something on the 6th, around the same time - so just proves I can't multi-task!:(
    Original post now corrected.

I would assume 34028 will be fairly busy, but they'll likely send a Five down to assist, but if the Polar Express trains are running then I presume that'll take up most of the Fives attention on the weekends.

I had heard a rumour that 45212 might have appeared at Southall for two or three weeks before it's main line 'ticket' expired. But, even if true, that won't happen now with Riley & Son withdrawing it for overhaul.
From what I can glean, Jacobite afternoon trains stop working after 26th September with morning trains stopping after 24th October.
One Black Five looks likely for extensive Polar Express workings out of Euston. 2024 was very popular, apparently, so extra dates have been added to the schedule this December. A few trains are showing Sold Out already!
I wonder if the second Black Five will be kept at Carnforth as possible cover for Tangmere?

Seeing how the Edinburgh Polar Express trains aren't running this year I'd assume one Five will stay at Carnforth yes.

What about 45407's regular slot on the Wensleydale Polar Express? Has it been withdrawn from that very lucrative venture this year?

I completely forgot about that. Perhaps WCR will send 44932 to Wensleydale. I assume stock used isn't air braked so it could fill in. However then I also forgot that there's a long standing agreement between K&WVR and Riley that a Five goes there during the Christmas months and if Riley can't spare a loco like last year 44932 went.

Rumour is 48151 is also now available again, so presumably that could also cover heritage line use.

I assume it's not air braked correct?

Unless something remarkable has happened during its overhaul, no.

Most likely scenario will be that West coast will send an engine, or two, to cover the heritage line agreements, possibly some coaching stock, as it can still send out its MK1's as long as they don't carry passengers on the main line, and 44871 will run down to Southall to join 34028 for the southern based tours, and 34067 and 45407 will stay at Carnforth, let's just hope that nothing else breaks, I don't know if 35028 has any free time in its schedule , or if the society want to increase the amount of work it does, but that's still going to be very tight availability wise, next year, I would not be surprised if there's a marked reduction in the tours using steam supplied by West Coast

you can use your crystal ball to predict the future or let WCRC along with RTC with support from SLL and IR work out what is possible and create a program for us to enjoy

Seems like a reasonable response to your baseless scenarios that you continue to post.

Let's just wait and see what happens, but predicting which locos are to do what trips is harmless enough, I don't see the harm in some friendly discussion over where we think certain locos will be over the remainder of the year.

@Alex Productions & @martin1656 , I have spent over 15 years on this forum and some of the behaviour I have witnessed in the last week from very well established and senior members has taken my breath away. Seems you are only allowed an opinion if you keep it to yourself or if you do it must be the same as everyone else's.
I don't remember the forum being like this, it used to be a welcoming place. But the treatment of a new (& yes admittedly enthusastic!) member has been very sad to see. If that's how young people are treated by older volunteers at some heritage railways then no wonder some are struggling.

Please keep speculating, otherwise the forum will become a very boring place.
