All Tornado's trains up to 26 July are now either postponed, cancelled or reallocated to another engine (6024 or 71000).

Every Torbay Express this year has caught up this local around Dawlish or Dawlish Warren.

To add to David's point. I believe on at least two of the early ones we went past Cockwood and Cockwood LC with the regulater wide open,in fact from there most of the way to Exeter, after the unit has cleared Starcross.

Joined the TE for the return run on Sunday. A little bit late away from Paignton but no matter as we caught the stopper along the coast. Reasonable run at Whiteball, 50 mph over the summit (Whiteball challenge figure was little higher).

Good but unspectacular run from Taunton, I guess the crew had an idea we would get delayed at W-S-M due to the extra trains for the T4 event. Nevertheless the run to Uphill junc. was about ‘even time’. Debatable as the exact distance to the stop is hard to estimate exactly.

6024 set off with the usual gusto from Worle but caught a stopper, so stop-start all the way to Bristol.

Word on the train was 71000 for the next two runs, which I see is confirmed on uksteam. That will be interesting.

Thanks to all the support team, train crew and the ever friendly TE stewards.

5029 is now being advertised for RTC's competing Weymouth Seaside Express, Bristol-Weymouth-Bristol on Sundays 15 and 29 August. It replaces 70000/70013, which I presume, will not be ready.

Sorry Mark I don't understand, if what is said? Maybe what I said about load 9? People might not have noticed but the TE ran with 10 coaches last weekend, which I understand would make 5029 an option.

Anyway I am disappointed because I'll miss 5029 because I'm booked on the TE on the day of 1st run and elsewhere on the second trip. Ah well. It would be great to have 5029 for maybe the last TE run of the season. I'm sure it would give a boost to bookings.

The Weymouth trips are West Coast, and the Duke is only working on trips at present which are DBS.
