Does anyone know where I can find a list of 2009 steam, and ideally Diesel galas? For the last few years some lovely soul has created a list but I cannot find one for this year so far.

    Many thanks.

Missing from that list is the Kent & East Sussex Railway Gala on 3-4-5 May 2009. Star of the show will be The Bluebell Railway's SE&CR 01 No 65 returning to the K&ESR for the first time in preservation. For those that may not know, No 65 was a regular loco on the K&ESR Branch before closure and was in use on the last day of BR services. As she is due to be withdrawn from traffic for overhaul shortly after this gala, this is very likely to be the one and only chance to see her on her old stamping ground.

Also expected to be in traffic will be Terriers 32678, No 3 and P Class 753, all locos that worked on the K&ESR before preservation. We're still awaiting confirmation of one other visiting loco, you can also expect to see other locos from the home fleet including GWR Pannier 1638, USA No 65, Manning Wardle Charwelton and at least one of the Austerities. More details will follow when they are known, expect an intensive service which will include freight, mixed trains and plenty of interesting loco combinations.

Should this thread not be stickied seeing as it's quite useful (or the link is at least!) ?

This longstanding site is always very useful, although it doesn't seem to get mentioned very often
