    Hi, all,
Last year my mum unearthed this poster just before the fiftieth anniversary. The story behind it is that my late father worked in the booking office at Preston and decided to keep it once it was taken down. I remember having it pinned to my bedroom wall when I was younger, consequently it’s a little worse for wear but in one piece. Because of the sentimental value we have no intention of selling it, one idea is to approach the Ribble Steam Railway to see if they would be interested in displaying it plus it would keep it in its home town. I would be interested in any thoughts as to a value but I must stress we have no intention of selling it!

    That's a great piece of railway/steam history.

An identical poster - albeit in better condition without the fold marks, sold for £140 at the last GWRA Pershore Auction (Lot 488 9/3/2019)

Thanks for the reply, ours is certainly very much “used”!
