Could we expect to see 4150 operating regular services in August, all being well?

4150 won’t be given its “Gala Debut” at the Sunmer Event as we’ve got things planned for Autumn for that. I think the plan is to run it on the odd service here and there, but not roster it as such. Ie a very last minute change to the roster, which will probably be based initially on when fitting staff are available.

It’s got some loaded test runs to come yet.

4930, 7714 and 13268 in use tomorrow. The diesel turn is a class 50 (50033 was in use today).
Next two weekends are the 1940s event and thus special fares.

Is it too early to ask what is rostered for the 40s weekends yet?

Well, the working timetable that was sent out a couple of weeks ago says 7714, 4930, 13268 and 4150(75069). D7018 on the diesel
I think we can assume its probably the standard 4 rather than the prairie.

Correct. 4150 will not feature now as running in not compeleted.

Spares will be 2 diesels one at BH and one at KDR.

On my way back from Porthmadoc yesterday, I popped into SVR Kidderminster for lunch. The Class 11 shunter was acting as station pilot which was nice and I noticed that it's makers plate said LMS Built Derby 1952. Is this correct?

Just watching the webcams today, seems 50033 has failed as the 08 hauled the afternooon diesel trip BH-HY and then the 17 ran up LE to meet there, loco swap and has just departed 15min late for KR.

A 50 is due out tomorrow and travelling up so wondering if it will be a different 50 or a different diesel altogether? Will still be going either way.

    From SVR Diesels Facebook page...

    Traction Change 21/06
    Dear All,

Following the failure of 50033 today, prior to departure with the 1450 ex BH, I have been advised by the Driver that he will take 20048 for tomorrows diesel diagram, 1100 ex KR, 1450 ex BH. Hopefully a fairly small fault on 50033 that can be sorted shortly. Apologies for any inconvenience by the change, forewarned is forewarned and all that

    Thanks,

    Matt

Yep thank you for that. I did look at this before I posted but it doesn't nail the question. I gather that BR built the loco to an LMS design in 1952 (I can remember it at Crewe), so far so good. As built, did BR give it an LMS makers plate? Seems unlikely. What is more likely is that during its short incarnation as a WD engine it was given a hybrid, partially true partially not, number plate which it currently carries.
    Dunno, but would like to

Yesterday I visited the SVR with my dad for Father's Day arriving at KR just before the first train departed behind 13268. We ate breakfast in the Station Tea Room, and then caught the second train out of KR with the class 20 up to Bridgnorth which used the teak rake adorned with destination boards relating to SNG's 150th anniversary. We then went around Bridgnorth high town itself and for the first time did the cliff railway. After having food in the high town, we headed back to the station and had a pint in the Railwayman's Arms before catching 13268 on the last train, where we sat in the experimental FO 3083. Good day out overall and while it was strange not visiting any of the immediate stations it was nice to use the railway as a railway rather than an attraction. Thanks to all involved!
