Plus the advantage of being able to move between heritage lines without road transport.

 

I suggest Norwich from the NNR is most likely, speed in Anglia isn't too much of an issue away from the GEML, and loads restricted by the stupidly short headshunt at Cromer anyway.

Maybe the other bit here and there when opportunity plays it's part, but I find it hard to believe you'd certify a loco for that alone.

I'm not sure that I would expect 76084 to be doing a lot of main line running. I'm pretty sure it has a deal tying it to the North Norfolk for next summer for the Cromer runs, so that only leaves it available for half the year and rules out Jacobites, Scarborough Spas etc.

 

Did they make money with the necessary reduced loadings is the key?
