Work has continued with four floor sheets installed and stanchion repairs completed. The underframe has been prepped and mostly painted together with the headstocks. The first of the side sheet repairs has started. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]

How come there are problems like this in a perfectly straightforward special train trip? It really puts me off booking on anything. Blue Peter had an almost faultless trip up to Edinburgh.

The fire hole door is central. Look at the flap catch and then upwards. Remember that the actual fire hole ring is rectangular on Meinigen boilers and the LNER style door is bolted over this.
