    Thanks, there were a few places on the S&C when Leander was working hard at 50-60 mph where I did give an involuntary shiver (and it wasn't the draught from the open window but the roar from the front).

    I suspect there is a water stop between Horrocksford Jn and Hellifield. The running time on the LSL schedules is about 55 minutes and the normal railtour running time (without engineering allowance or pathing time) is about 25 to 30 minutes....

    Thanks guys. I thought that the overall journey took a long time but hadn’t looked close enough. I recall that locos have watered from an over bridge in the Horrocksford / Chatburn area in past.

    Times for 29 May now on RTT. Only looks to have a water stop at Appleby, Crewe - Blackburn - Appleby is 124 miles. Anyone with any thoughts / info?
