Apparently the watering point at Plymouth is at the 'country' end of the platform so the loco will pull up at that and only pull into the station proper when it has finished. (So I am told)

That’s not the case, Bill Monteith confirmed yesterday we are steam hauled all the way. The times for the trip to St Blazey for turning are now on RTT.

GB ECS as set out from Carnforth - 5239, 5229, 1961, 3395, 1212, 3431, 3392, 9539 First two vehicles are pressure-ventilated. Unless it's had a quick repaint, 1212 should be blue and grey.

7714 has had its old grate completely removed, a new grate fully rebuilt, and is back in steam. It will re-enter traffic this afternoon. A superb effort by ESMP and the Bridgnorth staff.

I think we established a long time ago that 'profit' and 'business sense' have not been at the forefront of recent decision making. If it were they would have prioritised fitment of CDL for the Jacobite several years ago, rather than putting it...
