May well negotiate with the wife for a pass out to spend a couple of days up there for that. Just hope it doesn’t go hot and dry again and result in a steam ban.

8 round trips on a red timetable, almost back to the good old days! For some reason I thought it might actually be used on normal services, such as on the 10.55 ex-Pickering to allow it to work the diner, and to alleviate some of the pressure on...

It depends on what you think the pull factor is of Tornado wherever it goes as it is no longer unique as a new build and its general media publicity is no longer there. It is an event, which everybody keeps banging on about how the Moors needs...

Tornado: The Steam Superstar is Back £35.00 per round trip for normal passengers, £30.00 for members Given it was only here last summer and the services we travelled on were lightly loaded, not sure what the "pull factor" is going to be to pay...

NYMR used to have a range of events....... The diesel gala was discarded as the management thought it was a loss maker, until they tried it again and discovered the opposite, that it did make money. A spring steam gala abandoned (probably...

I'm not sure it's even that at the moment - it all seems to be about the diner. When we visited last year it was in the middle of a dry spell and high fire risk (Langdale fire was at it its peak) so everything was diesel hauled, except the diner...

"Steam not guaranteed" is prominent on the Belle booking information, automatic refund provided of roughly £30 per passenger if the train ends up being diesel hauled. As steam isn't necessarily the essence of the Belle it's probably easier to...

https://www.nymr.co.uk/about/memberships/become-a-member/ £60, £150 or £500 per year for an adult. Middle one is the best value if you plan to visit more than three times a year. I wonder how much uptake there'll be for collecting Moorsline from...

6th & 13th June, Northern Belle still showing as Settle & Carlisle Steam Special, I guess at least the 6th will go to diesel hauled with 34067 on RTC duties. Search Journeys | Luxury Train Travel and Day Trips UK
