I've also been busy blogging in 2018. Here's on of the latest, which is a pictorial essay on the BR Pacers trains, the first ones of which will be coming off-lease later this year. Here's another news & picture blog about all the new trains on order and the challenges brought about by over 4,000 vehicles coming off lease in the next 3 years. The Railway Magazine calculates that we'd need 52 miles of siding just to store them in. Yes, I've a few more to add yet. It was a crying shame the way the station was reduced in size and services transferred away. There's a real irony that nearly 30 years later Trans-Pennine services have been reintroduced!
