Anyone can take a pleasing shot in calm sunny weather. Doing so in yesterday's challenging conditions is a much sterner test. Perhaps a morning for video rather than stills, and for B&W rather than colour? Though Shep's evocative morning shots are almost monochrome!

I'm especially impressed with Sgt Hompson's sound track at Ais Gil. Where did you place your mics, Steve, and what sort of mufflers were you using?

 

I placed the Rode blimp on the ground with a Rode video stereomic inside and on a windy day like yesterday it's worth it's weight in gold I must admit .

 

Is it just me or is there someone/something at the top of the radio mast?

 

It's part of the mast. It does look like a person though!

 

In this video at 2-02 you can see it's something that's part of the mast as already mentioned Shep .

 

Surely nobody else would climb up there lol
