    Great panning, shows also a distinct reduction of lineside viewers. At one time there would have been a much larger crowd at Ais Gill of all places

    Many thanks, much appreciated. Yes it was very quiet, I guess partly due to the number of S&C trains over the summer and with steam from/to Hellifield only, there's perhaps less incentive for the trip out.

    45690 is confirmed for Wednesday's Fellsman, but loco for the Dalesman Is uncertain.

    A couple of whistles heralded Leander's approach to Horton in Ribblesdale station, 19E. She swept through with seeming effortless ease, looking well in the uncharacteristic summer sunshine. The recognisable sound of the Jubilee's exhaust could be heard for some time as she hurried along the straight towards Selside.
