Yeterday's "Countryfile" progamme on BBC TV featured a lengthy piece from the Wensleydale Railway, with 80105 (...I think?) hauling a DMU set. The reporter stopped off at stations en-route to explore the positive benefit to the towns along the line from the influx of visitors via the railway.
I appreciate that this is a "community" line rather than a Heritage line as such, but it restores your faith in rural railways when you hear the positive comments of the locals.

Knowing the Beeb the programme will soon be repeated, or maybe on the iplayer thingy.

Well worth a watch if you catch it.

Wensleydale? That sounds like a cracking day out!

(especially if your name's Wallace or Grommitt)

Just remembered on writing that; 30 years ago one of the characters on the NNR was nick named Grommet.
